Overview

Grota do Cirilo commenced production in April 2023 and is situated in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The project is the country’s largest known lithium deposit and contains high-grade spodumene that serves as a critical resource for lithium-ion battery production. In Q3 of 2024, production continued to ramp up and obtain premium quality product pricing at the mine. Operator Sigma Lithium recently announced the commencement of earthworks for its Phase 2 expansion project.

In 2024, the company announced increasing its Proven and Probable Reserve balance by 40% to 77.0 million tonnes from 54.8 million tonnes.
