The Allan mine is a conventional underground potash mining operation located approximately 50 km southwest of Saskatoon, SK. Potash ore is excavated at the mining face c.1,000m below the surface, transported by conveyor belt to the bottom of the production shaft and hoisted to the mill where it is processed into the final concentrated muriate of potash product.
The mine has undergone significant capacity additions, with the last one completed in December 2012. Altius anticipates this capacity will eventually be utilized based on current global potash consumption growth trends.Previous Page
